A great day for our Club when our Adult Hurlers played their first match in over 45 years this afternoon.
A lovely afternoon in Tymon Park for a 3.00pm throw in against our hosts St Jude's, ended in a draw after a very open and even game.
It was probably the pre-match comments from our own esteemed Andy Gibbons (who hurled in the previous game 45 years ago!) that drove The Gers lads to the finish on a hot afternoon.
Many congratulations to our Hurling Management team of Finbarr, Colm & Richie - and special congratulations to all our players.
Some were more experienced than others but all stepped up to the occasion.
The team wore special Commemorative Patrick Moran jerseys. Patrick Moran's 100th Anniversary occurred earlier this year and that was the name of the Hurling Club that amalgamated with Foxrock Geraldines in the early 1970's
Hon The Gers!
